About Us
Ellie
Ellie has been working on Carl since she was 14 years old. As a way to fund the restoration, she created a YouTube channel (with the help and oversight of her parents). She has had the benefit of many amazing corporate partners who have offered her parts and tools, as well as private individuals who have supported her through her Patreon.
Currently, Ellie is a mechanical engineering student at Swansea University in Wales. She still works on Carl every time she comes home.
Carl
Carl is the name Ellie gave her 1965 Ford Falcon - partly because she thinks that Carl is a good name for a guy from ‘65, partly because it already has the word “car” in the name, and partly because the two charcters in Pixar’s movie Up were named Carl and Ellie.
Ellie and Matt have restored almost every part of Carl. Ellie got her driver’s license in him, she took senior pictures with him, and she drives him every chance she gets.
Matt
Matt is a professional videographer by trade, but he has always enjoyed tinkering with things. He creates all the Ellie’s Garage videos, but he is also learning about car restoration right beside Ellie.
Teddy
Teddy is Ellie’s dog and the love of her life. She adopted him from the shelter with her own money when she was 12 years old, and he has been by her side since then.
He is always there to give kisses and get pets when she gets in from the garage.
